Mit großer Freude präsentiert die Galerie Slavik in ihrer Ausstellung SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND die beiden Schmuckkünstlerinnen Alexandra Brachtendorf und Alejandra Solar. Die beiden Künstlerinnen verbindet ihre Liebe zu qualitativ hochwertigen, außergewöhnlichen Schmuckwerken. Klare weiche Formen treten in einen spannenden Dialog mit geheimnisvollen Natur- und Landschaftsimpressionen.
Alexandra Brachtendorf arbeitet vorzugsweise mit den Edelmetallen Gold und Silber, die sie zu spannenden, lebendigen Kleinkunstwerken inspirieren. Die geschmiedeten Oberflächen ihrer Arbeiten zeigen eine spannende, faszinierende Struktur. Licht und Schatten sind in einem unendlichen Spiel von Perspektive und Miniaturräumen verbunden. Die Künstlerin möchte mit jedem ihrer Unikate die Persönlichkeit und Einzigartigkeit der Trägerin betonen.
Alejandra Solar, Absolventin der Hochschule in Idar Oberstein und für ihre Schmuckkunst bereits mit Preisen ausgezeichnet, ist von Steinen jeglicher Art begeistert. Die Künstlerin kreiert vorwiegend Broschen aus Chalcedon oder Bergkristall. Gerne verwendet sie als Trägergestein auch einen gefärbte Achat in Zitronengelb oder Blaugrün. Auf die glatte, polierte Oberfläche bannt sie Städteansichten im Miniaturformat. Sie fängt einen Blick in eine graphisch anmutende Landschaft im Winter ein, zarte verzweigte Äste malerisch auf transparentem gelben Untergrund verzaubern.

It is a great joy for the Slavik Gallery to be presenting the work of Alexandra Brachtendorf and Alejandra Solar in its latest exhibition: SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND. These two artists share a profound love of high-quality and unusual works of jewellery art. Forms that are soft but clear enter into an exciting dialogue with nature and landscape impressions that are full of mystery.
Alexandra Brachtendorf’s materials of choice are the precious metals gold and silver, which inspire her to works of art that throb with life. The surfaces of her works are wrought into fascinating structures, with light and shadow being joined in an endless interplay of perspectives and miniature spaces. The artist makes it a special priority to ensure that every one of her entirely individual works will be capable of reflecting and emphasizing the unique personality of its wearer.
The prize-winning jewellery artist Alejandra Solar is a graduate of the college at Idar-Oberstein and has an especial love of stones of all kinds. While her principal creations are brooches in chalcedony or rock crystal, she also likes to use lemon-yellow or bluish-green agate. She embellishes the polished surfaces with miniature depictions: views of towns, a graphic winter landscape, delicate branches picturesque against a transparent yellow ground.
