Mit großer Freude feiert die Galerie Slavik 2016 ihr 25jähriges Bestehen mit zwei großen Ausstellungen. Die erste Schau, das SCHMUCK STADTGESPRÄCH, im Mai dieses Jahres war ein großer Erfolg und brachte die Schmuckkunst in aller Munde. Nun folgt der zweite Teil mit der Ausstellung WINTERREISE. Begleitend wird wieder ein Katalog erscheinen. In Zeiten der Veränderung steht die Galerie Slavik für Kontinuität.
Für die Ausstellung „WINTERREISE” am 18. November 2016 haben unsere KünstlerInnen spannende Schmuckobjekte geschaffen. Die große Formenvielfalt von streng geometrisch, über architektonisch bis zu märchenhaft verspielten beeindruckt. Die Auswahl beinhaltet ein reiches Spektrum an Materialien: von Gold und Silber, Edelstahl und Platin bis zu organischen Stoffen wie Holz und Holzkohle, sowie Kunstoffen, Email, antike Glasperlen oder auch besondere Schmucksteine. Der Ideenreichtum und die künstlerische Qualität der Schmuckunikate faszinieren – ein Stück vom Himmel für alle SchmuckliebhaberInnen!

This year it is the Galerie Slavik’s great joy to be celebrating its 25th anniversary with two large exhibitions. The first of these, JEWELLERY CITY TALK, took place in May and was a great success, setting tongues wagging on the subject of jewellery all over Vienna and beyond. Now it is time for the second exhibition, WINTERREISE – WINTER JOURNEY, which will also be accompanied by a catalogue. In times of change, the Galerie Slavik stands for continuity.
WINTER JOURNEY, which opens on 18 November 2016, will showcase a multitude of exciting jewellery objects from the hands of our artists. The works display not only an impressive diversity of forms – from the strictly geometrical through the architectural to the enchantingly imaginative and witty – but also a rich range of materials including gold and silver, stainless steel and platinum, and organic materials such as wood and charcoal, not to mention plastics, enamel, ancient glass beads and special precious stones. These one-off pieces possess astounding artistic quality and a fascinating richness and fertility of ideas – heaven on earth for all lovers of the art of fine jewellery!
